Friendship And Love

Poem By Mary Anne Browne

When on the road he is all alone
The only way he gets to spend time with his family is by phone
It seems like the road is never going to end
But on them long stretches of highway he makes new friends

The weekeneds are his special time
To see the smile on the kids faces when he pulls up the drive
They all run and play
And they give hugs and kisses at the end of the day

And when the weekened is up
It is time for him to go back on the road in his big truck
The kids stand and wave at the door until he gets out of sight
And in their little hearts they know that he will be calling that night

While his wife is at home she worries about him
She pray's to herself that he will return home to them
She misses him while he is gone
That is why she says be careful at the end of careful at the end of each
phone call

Going down the highway he says Breaker, Breaker one nine I am
rolling on and I have left my family behind
I know they will be just fine
They are in my heart with every mile i take
And i pray that while I am gone God will will keep them safe

Comments about Friendship And Love

A fine tribute to people who drive the trucks that bring the goods for us to enjoy. I often wonder as I pass trucks on the road how lonely there lives must be.

These Are The Days

These are the days we live and die
We cry our tears while side by side
The days and hours fly silently by
Like the birds that fly high in the sky

Gone But Not Forgotten

My grandfather left alot of us behind
With love and memories of our good times

He had a warm and caring soul

Falling Apart

I have been knocked down
And when I got up I was wearing a frown

With my heart torn and shattered

Jesus

His hands held our souls
They were stronge and bold

For they once were nailed to a cross

Abuse Of A Loving Wife

You forget the love in your heart

When I love you starts to mean nothing at all
