A Voice Hidden

Poem By Patsy E. Hesketh Gothard

A voice hidden in a body unmatched.
How can a butterfly, from such a cocoon be hatched?
Whether in the car, the shower, but alone so to speak.
The enemy, self-consciousness, a miracle I seek.
My dream is to stand before a crowd.
Bowing to great applause and cheers deafening loud.
To fulfill my fondest dream.
A major transformation, is what that would mean.
