A Whisper

Poem By David Harris

Within every heartbeat,
a whisper can be heard
for someone crying out for love
that isn’t always heard.
As we travel down life’s road,
we should listen for the whispers
that surround us on our way.
A cry from an infant,
the torment of someone lost
along their way.
There are so many whispers
and we should all
identify ourselves with one.
For within every heartbeat
a whisper can be heard.

Comments about A Whisper

A beautiful poem about listening. So often we fail to hear what is crying out close by. I guess we're often too preoccupied with something else. Wise words, David. But then I would expect no less from your ever compassionate pen. Love, allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
This feels soft because of the word whisper, but in fact it sits nicely within your heartbeat and delivers a very important message to humanity. Top marks David!
So much soft, high frequency poem by you friend 10

We will remember being told not to go to work,

Just beyond the sunset
Someone waits for me
Just beyond the sunset
Lies my destiny

My Dreams

My dreams sail through uncharted waters

A Caring Heart

A caring heart will never stray
even when its owner has to go away.
It will think of its happy home
dismissing thoughts of wanting to roam.
