A Wink From Hesper
(1849 - 1902 / Gloucester / England)

A Wink From Hesper

A wink from Hesper, falling
Fast in the wintry sky,
Comes through the even blue,
Dear, like a word from you…
Is it good-bye?

Across the miles between us
I send you sigh for sigh.
Good-Night, sweet friend, good-night:
Till life and all take flight,
Never good-bye.

Good-Night, sweet friend, good-night: Till life and all take flight, Never good-bye.....touching concluding. Beautiful poem.
" Time is a leasehold of unsure date Conceded to thee by everlasting destiny" Astounding truth introduced in a spectacular way by the extraordinary soul. Deserving of exemplary sonnet of the Day. http: //www.4cashpath.com/
An amazing poem narrating thick bondage in precise form. The profound simple poem is simply superb and worthy classic poem of the day.
In a wink of a few words such romantic poetry, beautiful.
How romantic, how it flows from the depth of the poet's heart!
