A Wizard's Hand

Poem By steven turner

A wizard's hand
A wizened smile
A welcome hearth
A magic tile
A travellers tale
A hearty feast
A jug of ale
Talk of the beast
A dark night
A piercing howl
A cutting wind
A fearsome growl
Dark forces
Kept in check
A wizard's hand
A virgin's neck
A misty morn
Cloudy breath
Crispy footfalls
Talk of death
A broken branch
A pool of blood
Signs of struggle
In the wood
Lost souls
Frozen time
Enchanted forest
Heinous crime
Raised aloft
A crooked staff
Marshals forces
A manic laugh
Lightning strikes
Darkness pales
A mighty struggle
A demon fails
Conflicting silence
A pain filled land
Held in check
By a wizard's hand.

A Poor Boy

A poor boy entered the shop
His eyes were ready to pop
Surrounded by riches
With holes in his britches

Sometimes touching her skin
Is everythin'
Sometimes just her heat
Swaying slowly to an inner beat

The Spring

Senses lit by bulbs
The earth turns in its circle
Coloured rows of trumpets
Play out the changing days

Bluebells & Hyacinth Smells

Blue bells, hyacinth smells
Snow drops, bunny hops
Bird song, all night long
Daffodils on window cills

Summer's Open Door

Bluebells flood the forest floor
The first great taste of summer's lure
Tinkling bells tantalise the ground
Shimmering violets ripple and resound

Blow you solar wind
Across the universe within
From dancing lights
In magnetic storms
