A Woman's Eyes

Have you ever looked through a woman’s eyes
To try, to understand why she cries over a broken finger nail
Have you ever wondered why she goes on loving
When she very seldom gets the satisfaction she needs

Don’t be jealous of her tears
She too has her many fears
The greatest one is losing you
You were never one with her, you owned her

You are a man, you must come first
She must stop dying to fix your dinner
Every chance you get you rejoice in rape
Some man has made you feel inferior

You are more concerned with retaliation
At the expense of your woman

It’s not the woman’s fault you were forced to go to War
Males put that responsibility on you
Who made the Laws, males
Women did not have the right to vote
Did not have the right to an education

In the midst of your despair
I won’t let you wrap me in your self-pity
Smother me with your aches and pains

My Mother was found dead at my father’s feet
She was a good woman..she stood by her man
She supported her man

She never lived
She was his energy so he could enjoy life
