Aborted Words!

Poem By Dr. Afaq A. Qureshi

In the glare of scorching sun were caravans
Of spring, beds and beds of roses, in the buds,
Dreams upon dreams in my eyes, in your eyes,
All of it withered away, in the dust of scorching sun.
And the words on my tongue, stillborn,
And the words and dreams in your eyes, dead;
No one ever got a glimpse of them.
Never heard of them.
All those colors which brighten the twig that was my soul,
Colors were you,
Colors were me.
But no one cared for the clarity and subtleness
Which these two unique colors offered.
And they vanished.
How do I tell the world, of the tyranny.
Or dare I say, there is a god!

Eyes like children with hunger and fear, are scared.
In the graveyard of dreams
A new tombstone is added daily.

A Busy Day; They Are All Alike.

There is cold weather embedded,
In the hearts of people,
I keep busy in covering them
With patches of bright sunshine;

? Love Has A Home?

Those eyes were surrounded by a bluish shroud,
That is lifted, torn, decayed;
Eyes are just two empty lakes.
The face; it struck me with its brilliance once,
