030810 Do You Have Time To Talk

Poem By Manonton Dalan

waking in total darkness
I lay here
trying to think of what awakened me
it had been something?
wrapping myself in my blankets
I can feel my body shiver
the cold seemed in another place from where I was
but it wasn't
it was here
because you are not.

I love the lyrical tone of your poems- a rippling brook! This poem is short, and yet expresses the cold being lonely, the feeling for the absent lover!
A lovely poem, Eila.
a lovely poem expressing the nature of inner need so well the darkness the dream the hope of nearness
