After Spanish Proverb

After Spanish Proverb

Oh, mercifullest one of all,
Oh, generous as dear,
None lived so lowly, none so small,
Thou couldst withhold thy tear:

How swift, in pure compassion,
How meek in charity,
To offer friendship to the one
Who begged but love of thee!

Oh, gentle word, and sweetest said!
Oh, tender hand, and first
To hold the warm, delicious bread
To lips burned black of thirst.

Dorothy Parker was so clever and subliminally full of mischief when writing this. Excellent as always,
Bunch of Berkshire Hunts - why do you have to blast awful music, then have a robot read the poem extremely badly. Why does a page about poetry need to make any noise at all? Whoever decided upon this offensive noise should be castrated.
This poem proves that some things never change...
Wow, that was pretty good, but i hear there is this poem called 'Neil is awsome', it was life changing and insperational. Read it and vote it a 10!
