After The Darkness

After the darkness, a sobbing voice sings,
After the drought that grazed our fields,
After the scowls that tyrannized our faces.
It's now a decade after the darkness
(A thousand leaves had fallen in the dark)
And trailing the paths of the faded forest,
Whose trees hardly grew again,
We still grope about with faces asking-
Where is the twilight, where is peace
After the darkness, after the wars.
