After Valentine's Day…

Poem By Theresa Ann Moore

After Valentine's Day…

Each beat of my heart is filled with love….
flying high on the wings of a morning dove

A bouquet of long stemmed red roses
is now frail… no longer fragrant to my nose

Balloons are withering as they deflate
One by one the candies they were ate

Romance is not reserved for just one day
It grows… it does not simply slip away

Love expands and continues to give affection
throughout the year… renewing perfection

Its fiery wings spanned the universe

A Dog Tale

My little dog has a doughnut tail

A Gift Of Time

Others give loving embraces.

A Blossoming Rose

Feeling full of immeasurable dreams
Desiring to burst forth with unfolding hues
Opening with the natural ease of a sigh
Blessed with a spattering of morning dew

A Hush Remains

The gray cloudless sky is strangely silent
As my skeletal arms reach toward heaven
Within my frame of time thoughts are absent
Suddenly, from nowhere there is an ascension

A Change Of Luck

It is said that a four leafed clover
Brings good luck to those that find
In the middle summer I looked all over
For a magic leaf of four… a rare kind
