Steady breeze blowing flags
Receding brown of greening grass
Single blackbird winging high
A warming Spring gives gentle sigh
Heating rays of sunlit brick
Backed by rising mountains thick
Thinning clouds sliding by
Blue horizon coming nigh
Quiet scene of afternoon
Holding still, gone too soon.

I hope this poem go's far and wide and sails into the distant future, it deserves it. People need to see this one.
Heather this is stunning, very picturesque, the imagry is remarkable, the flow is fluent and the rhyme is excellent. Very well thought out, I love it.-Melvina-
Heather, this is another fine poem. Our weekend afternoons, even in the winter, should be spent enjoying mother nature at her best. Thank you for sharing, this is another fine writing. Barbara
