Aging

Poem By Thelma Murphy

My hair is grey now and my body broken.
My mind is not as sharp as it once was.
But I have time to reflect on the dreams
and hopes I once had.

The hopes and dreams are just a fading memory now.
of the past for the future that had never occurred.

Life gives us many choices.
We are young and inexperienced,
We think of the moment and forget about the future.
But, alas it comes all too fast.

Looking back would I have done things differently!
Probably not for no one knows of the future.
Or the outcome until you arrive and look back.

Child Abuse

Please dear child do not cry, for your pain is running deep.
Your parents do not understand the hurt they have caused.

You try so hard to please but failed.

Life

Remember dearest child
We gave you life.
But that is all we can give you.
