Alive

Quickly as I'm falling fast
can't see any possible way
that this cruel world won't finish me

I was barely alive before
my heart searching the horizon
for hope and long lost dreams

Then, like a sudden ray of sunshine
after a life time of mist and rain
like a red baloon surrounded by black and white

My light at the end of the tunnel
the silver lining to the never ending clouds
all these meaningless comparisons
you're so much more to me

That frantic search my heart was on
for hope and long lost dreams
I was barely alive before

my heart found you
