Poem Hunter
(6-26-1980 / othello)

Poem By Eli J Tod

A long many days
it’s been since we’ve
layed and gazed
at our portrait on the wall,
picture of us how we should be,
how we could be again
how we want to be
and want others to see;
smiling happy hoping,
holding each other.
how we once wanted.
maybe even in the right light,
who we once were
no glare
the angle perfect
our imperfections ambiguous

This was a delight. I love the retrospective reflection in the lines. A wonderful tale that throws caution to the wind.
