An Armoire Of Haikus

My armoir is full
Of rings and things that sparkle
Against black velvet.

The stars are silent.
They do not bump, click and clink.
The night is for sleep.

Silent, silver notes
Hang trembling in the blackness.
This night is for love.

Darkness drains, and light
Fills the glass. A toast, my love,
to secret kisses.

I close my armoire
For night is gone and daylight
bedazzles the world.

Each Haiku is a jewel and shines on its own. Pure enchantment, Mary. You are truly gifted. I can hear the sound of those silent, silver notes. Love, Sandra
