Make My Day (Love Poem)

I think about you,
need you and want you.
You seem so perfect,
how could you be true?

Sometimes I doubt,
my gut and senses.
Just want to come out,
and take all the chances.

Soulmate,
is there such a bond.
If there is, I found it,
it really does astound.

You surprise me,
every day.
I get love struck,
forget what to say.

What else could I need,
what else can I say.
No matter what happens,
you always make my day.

A great one. One returns to it several times and each time one discovers something different, something more. That sadness and nostalgia so typical to the twentieth century European poets runs through the entire poem; it is felt even in its wry humor.
