It was the Dragon Fly's and Autumn skies
That pleased me...
It was the amber glow and seeds to sow
That inspired me...
It was the turkey and dressing and all manner of blessing
That filled me...
It was the morning frost and leaves soon lost
That touched me...
Yes, it was the Autumn rays of Falls Golden days and
The russet views and burnt orange hues
That anchored me...

Valerie, thank you so very much. Compliments from you are quite an honor! Love your poetry!
Beautiful poem Theodora, very descriptive and truly inspired. Loved reading.
Colleen, thank you so very much for your very kind words! You are so appreciated, dear.
I love this poem so much! Fall is my very favorite season and the reason why I will never live anywhere other than New England. Although I hear the Northwest is beautiful also. Guess that would be my second choice. Lol. I guess that makes New England my Anchor! Love the imagery in the poem. Could picture every line in my mind. So well written! Thanks for sharing this!
