And The Best Part Is...

And the best part is –
Now that the mixing is over,
Now that the mixture is poured,
The mold is set in place, and filled,
With hearts fixed on lovers…

The plaster (of Poetry) takes shape
Hardens until it is Done
Becoming like stone, unbreakable.
The style, the form, the theme,
With thoughts fixed on someone…

Again and again, as history repeats,
Hearts pour out hopes become hard,
And love binds the plaster,
Making it forever,
And great grows the legions of bards.

All great work depends on the skill of the craftsperson. Perfection may be unattainable but your art stands proudly on its own merit.
'The Plaster of poetry' - great imagery here Sophia - particularly like the second stanza. Wonderful texture to this poem. Kind regards, Justine
