Anne Of Cleves

Poem By Lee Fones

Anne of Cleves
(Queen of England 1515-57)

Anne Mare of Flanders
looked like a horse
i'm not talking slanders
honestly she was coarse

Henry married that equine
thought she could be his maid
although life not divine
but at least he got laid

t'was Thomas hammer of monks
who set this couple up
Henry was throwing chunk's
poor Thomas, beheaded yup
