Another Night Has Slipped Away

Poem By Yasmin Rubayo

</>Another night has slipped away
I see the sunlight coming
I sigh because I think of you
And know you're out there running

I already know the answer
But still, I have to wonder
If when you stop to be with me
Will you just stop forever

I know that you've been doing this
A long while you have told me
You had to so you'd have it all
And this would make you happy

I don't wish for anything bad
And I won't say I'm much better
But I do know what you really need
You should stay still for winter

And then if you still choose to run
Know that I'll be behind you
Cuz that's the only way I know
To tell you that I love you

Counting the nights slipping away is a torture and Ms. Rubayo has wrote exceedingly well about the agony of lone moments. The imagery of someone running away and still wishing him, praying for him, the knowledge that what is best for him and the submission that he will be followed is love at its best. Who can say that this one poem represents millions of hearts which ache and wish at the same time. They suffer and love unconditionally. In Flamingo dances the classical rhyme and poetry used often describes that you can call it corporate business if you love someone who loves you back and pure love is when you love someone without him/her knowing it. Well done Rubayo. I wonder if its a persian name, then 'rubayee' as such is a form of poetry very popular in Persian and other subcontinent languages.
