Another Poetess Comes Along

Poem By RIC BASTASA

another poetess has come along
bringing an old guitar

she strikes a note from a string
and then she starts to sing

another darkness is pierced
another star is born

another soul rises to the heavens
another body sheds off old skins

welcome, Yani, to our world
we have been waiting for your word
