Poem By Lori Boulard

paper shards of lives
souls
children
Standing in line to jump in
or out
The sun’s third born holds precious many
fueled by the moon, love and hunger
amazing many
whose words
fly
stab
laugh
cry
bending their paper hands
just enough
to join at the binding

This reminded me of the strings of paper dolls we would cut out of paper, and they wound up connected - only at the hands. Wonderful Images. Scarlett
I love this, Lori. Amazing imagery. I'll have to keep reading.
I really liked the way you have described the earth, Sun's third born...! Very inventive, indeed. And I can't wait to see the anthology... so excited :)
well you couldn't have found a better introduction for the anthology.. Great! HBH
Lovely, Lori. The last three lines could start a new poem!
