Anticipation

A call has come to say - its here!
The book I sent for late last year
It sits at home and waits for me
And I know exactly how it feels

It feels, in fact, the same as me
As excited as the day is long
And today the day is far too long
But now at last, the bell has gone

I have only read a handful of books in my entire life. But I do understand their importance. Great poem.Love Duncan
I suppose I get very sentimental over 'books', they are part of me, and I get very moved by reading some of them, I defend them and cherish them too. We have bookcases full of them, of every conceivable title and content. I love all of them. I felt in this poem a 'wanting' for it to arrive to become part of a collection which is loved and looked forward to. Just the way I saw it, but to you this may sound weird. Sorry if that is the case. Love Ernestine XXX
