Apology

Packed trains pulled away
our yellow peril--
Jap Americans
Kidnapped to far camps,
From world warred U.S. "Don't want to leave home!"
Cried yankee Suki
On mother's shoulder
As yellow rose fell. Lives, livelihoods smashed
By one signature,
Dated: Infamy. She patted her pet:
"All's fine dear! I see
Their great grandchildren
Apologizing
"To our survivors!"
Laughed hysterically.
