As He Hung On The Cross

He asked for their forgiveness;
Their ruler was killed;
The Creator was destroyed.

Truly, they knew not what they did,
And He asked His Father
The crucifiers, them, to for give.

Piece of great elegance, well articulated, nicely encapsulated and brilliantly penned with spiritual insight. A devotional, praise, thanksgiving piece of poetry depicting total submission to His Will. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
Only a great and high can utter those words despite one dies for the cause of all in the world!
I am too fascinated with two books which are considered as Too holy, but filled with false facts and figures to the modern free thinking researchers and individuals..Any way Nice poem based on an incident in one of those books...
