Assimilation

Residents of the Milky Way,
Assimilated by the stars.

The brightness of eyes,
Shining like quasars;
Minds long lost,
Seduced by a universe
Of moons.

Flying through the cosmos,
Ordained by love,
Anointed by making it.

Riding solar winds across seas of imagination.

Light time flashing by,
As bursts of gamma rays,
Detonate the doors;
And open our minds to fantasy.

Like stands of white birch found
in forests of oak;
stellar clusters contrast
in the sky,
And dreams commence.

Life is now a ginger spice,
laced in summer honey.

The compelling taste of one another,
What was meant to be...
