At The Moment
at the moment
by Antoine Lavoisier
all these thoughts, these boggling worries
are so wretchedly confusing.
am I supposed to settle my mind,
to tell everyone, 'this is how it's
gonna be and no way else'?
i simply can't escape the 'what if's'
and 'but maybe's' that are haunting me,
so daunting, so much like jericho
from the sunday school stories.
all of my dreams, O Lord my God,
are laid out on the table.
i am a fool? or would it be foolish,
to count them all as fable?
yet now, at the moment,
she is here, and for all the few moments
we spend together i don't really care
how things will turn out.
it's just us, our dreams,
everything i want to be.
