At The Pantomime

Aladdin searches for his magic lamp
The actors tread the boards looking slightly camp

Theaters come alive with the sound of excited kids
He's behind you comes the shout and stops the villains evil bids
Every panto needs a dame dressed in some outrageous frock

Pantaloons and a fruit bowl hat topped off with a bright pink sock
An all star cast entertain us in this traditional festive treat
Nobody can deny they'll have a great time as they take their seat
The pantomime horse falls flat on his back as he dances an Irish jig
Oh what a hoot it is to see the ugly sister in an oversized wig
Mums and dads feel so proud when their little one is invited on the stage
Its amazing to see all your favourite characters leap out from the page
More audience participation is required as we sing a final song
Everyone loves a panto, its so much fun you can't go wrong

My poem is finished now
Oh no it isn't
Oh yes it is
Oh no it isn't
Oh yes it is
