Aurora Valeriana

Aurora Valeriana

In Paul Valéry, the morose confusion
Works dreamlike, dissipating from the rose
The heraldic appearance of the sun's
First prayer - brightness of revealed intelligence.

Full of clear ideas, the winged chariot
Advances its soul-trusting multi-facets.
Making admirable steps, Sleep's mobile dunes
Ride the windy though lucid, thoughtful reason.

Words are friendly similitudes that rime
By the light of intertwined sunrise smiles.
In the surrounding morning fog, a girl
Collects the fruit of evaporated prudence.

Then a swarm of bees on a candlelight
Save the warm, loving joy of the aurora.
