Autumn (A Theme)

Poem By Theodora (Theo) Onken

...In the schematics of the theme
Unaltered vibrant rays
...Cast their gilded luminescence
Upon late September Days
...Days returned to the Solid Gold
Of the Amber-Orange leaves
...And the branches brittle limbs
As they Fall from their trees
...An Apple Orchard is going bald
Settling upon distant frosty morns
...Altering the once warm-mist-dew
While snapping the Wild Rose Thorns
...It is the theme of Autumn
In a quiet repose, preparing for her rest
...For Her long winter nap
In a month and a half, at best
...Tis the slumber of hibernation
When trees, barren found
...Misted with the Ice Chip Granules
From Winter's Snow Drift Mounds

Lawrence and Herbert said it all... this is wonderfully atmospheric and erudite, so very stylishly penned. t x
Thank you dear one! I really wanted you to read it, last night...and tried to get your attention, but you were on your own flow, and i do understand that! When your going, you do not want to stop the thought progression. Feeling very nostalgic today, as Curtis was at Pike Place Market, in Seattle...And My ex uncle has a Park named after him there! The epsodes today were amazing and filled to the brim with yummy food...views of the Market, i grew up knowing, and the last shot, Of Holly, on her deck, with Victors design: The Space Needle in the background. Thank you so much for your praise. Always, Theo
Herbert would have to use 'ambience' because that's exactly my sentiments of this wonderful poem you have written, Ms Theo! I am not going to admit I'm jealous that I could not have come up with such a remarkable 'vision'. It's Norman Rockwellish; a Currier and Ives ('am I aying that correctly? ') ...those dudes. I see these words etched on a greeting card. This is some nice stuff! And you know Herbert isn't easy to impress. LOL
Thank you so very much Herbert. So glad you liked! Always, T
Excellent ambience poem, Theo. Enjoyed it. Best H

(((This Thing Of Ours)))

In the twilight of this quiescent moment-
I peruse this thing of ours-
Querying this palpable abtruse connection-
Am i deluded or wrongly perceived by the stars?

(((After The Rain)))

I missed you the other day
When the dew left its diamond glitter upon the grass
And the squirrels and frogs were frolicking merry
When the silence of daybreak calmed

It was in the Dawn of new beginnings
In a field so full of you
Armoured bouquets of Love
Covered by Heavens baby blue;

(((Early Eve Of Remember))) !

It t'was in the early eve of Remember- -
Before twilight had come around...
Where i found you with a basket of love so true...
And in the air t'was a melody of new loves sweet sound! ;

An ancient river carries your name-
In silver caverns so deep-
A Princess sits crying her heart out-
In the depths of sorrow, she continues to weep.

</></Oh such bitter sweet regret-
Comes the breaking of dawn...
'Tis much too soon, my darling
For you shall soon be gone;
