Be Nobody's Darling

Poem By Alice Walker

I will wait here forever if I have to;
Lately though, it doesn't seem you have a clue...
Don't you understand I love you with all my heart?
And my heart aches when we are apart...
Your eyes met mine they were clear as an ocean,
Your delicate touch is like silky lotion...
When I am at my breaking point and start to cry,
You always lift my spirit high...
On our date you always give me a kiss,
He will never leave me because there's too much to miss.
I know that you are the perfect guy,
And there never will be one last goodbye...

One morning of the first sad Fall,
Poor Adam and his bride
