Ballad Of Spring

Poem By Prayag Saikia

Why need the splendid orchids thrive on others?
Why can't the euphonic cuckoos set up nests on their own?

Don't bring up these issues
At the paradise of dances.

Here all hearthless breaths
Are afire

The poet of the theatre is aware
That love, too, is migratory.

Its arrives as a bird with the colours of seasons.

Raise not questions of rules.
On someone's frame shall the orchid bloom
In someone's nest the cuckoo, too, shall deliver her young.
