Barely Alive

Barely alive,
And floating
Above some empty
Stained sea.

Across which
My soul
Lies quietly watching
Me.

Very imagintive....its true it is sad but it is so touching....gave the feelings in a very few words
When my baby son was 2 yrs old. He went to my mother-in -law for the weekend. She gave him caustic soda to drink and it obviously killed him. This poem explains how i felt for years after the event. I died that day too. Thanks for such a clear way to explain that kind of emotion. Hugs Jan
Ah, Sandra, that is so poignant, and sad, and it so reminds me of me, not so long ago...you touched me in very few words. Warm regards, Theodora Onken
