Beat Of Life

It's true what they say
A drumline either makes or breaks a band.
The band is lifeless without a strong beat
Coming from the core.

Sure there are other instruments helping out; but
A drumline either makes or breaks a band.
You may not always hear the piccolo,
But you sure feel that drum beat!

When drums break, we replace or fix them 'cause
A drumline either makes or breaks a band.
Drummers, too, can be replaced, but it's never the same again.
Make do with what you've got; drums aren't forever.

Dig-a, dig-a, doom; Dig-a, dig-a, doom;
Boom, click; boom, click; BOOM!

(Line 13-14 is a halt cadence for a drum line.)
