Becky's Prayer

Poem By Betty Jean Claunch

As little Becky lay in her dying bed
She looked to heaven's door
and this is what she said
"Feeling lonely and troubled inside
wanting to run, but nowhere to hide
Needing to talk-but nothing to say
hoping tomorrow is a sunnier day
As one single tear runs down my cheek
no more energy and I feel weak
What has happened to the fight?
When I bounced back and made things right
So, I humble myself for you to see
Dear God, I need you to comfort me"
Becky, why did you have to go, and why can't it be...
that we would be able..."To Lean On Thee?"
