Before I Cross The River

There is a hill ahead,
And Death is behind the hill;
I urge the horses onward, onward....

There is a river here;
Always, there is a river
Just when Death scents victory....

White current seethes
About black rocks;
How fair the meadow is,
After crossing the water....

i see the imagery.... my mind travels through plains and mountains along riversides
A very vivid use of metaphor Will encouraging the darkened souls to take bold steps in life to rise again. A very tempting poem towards bravery with motivation so pure and so beautiful to wash out the lethargy that otherwise overwhelms the deadened minds. The essence of poem is ingrained with a very special message of gaining the glory without fear of the hurdles because the excellence has always been achieved by those who dare to believe that something inside them is far more superior than the circumstances...... Best Regards naseer
