Before I Meet The Ferryman

These tears can’t come
My biggest fear has began
So slowly the light escapes from me
So softly I sink in to the abyss
Darkness has come for me
If I give in would it hurt any less?
My soul is lost forever
My hopes, my life, my tears
My joy, my love, my dreams
And I can’t cry
I can’t laugh
I am trying to feel
Something other then this pain
This helplessness
This feeling I never knew before
Darkness will surround me
But before I go
Before I surrender
Before I meet the ferryman
I ask you where is the light at the end of the tunnel?
Where is the angel promised to me?
