let's meet where forgetting happens-

at the bottom of a synaptic valley gazing up at
the white fleshy ship gliding overhead
shadow blanket mammatus

my microscopic pegasus.

somewhere in the firing
knee-deep in bent arrows
and wounded messengers
i'll wait for you here.

white chests

billions billowing pumping, legs cycling in
the torment, the nervous war

spring from one tiny cloud to the next.

shooting forward to bring us back
to where we knew we'd want to be

in dementia
when the clouds' ports
have deteriorated like wet cotton candy i'll
cling to you before letting you leak away with how
to say hello to someone familiar or
how to get home or
how to sign
a letter:

best wishes,

looking forward to seeing you.
