Bemused

I feel the warmth rise
As I stir the burning embers
Feeling you near though you are far from my vision
The eyes of my heart see you clearly
Heavenly thoughts have brought you forth
And I find myself lost in the stars, floating with the clouds

I hear the crackling of the wood
And the moment stops
Slowly I become transfixed in orange, red, and blue dancing flames
I become consumed like the timbers
Burning with dreams and hopes of you

The essence of the honeysuckle is carried by the breeze
Straight to the senses that are bemused in you
A sigh is released and a shiver courses my soul
A smile rises with the flames
And once more I become lost in thoughts of you

P, this enthralled me. It is quite simply beautifully written. t x
Very musical and dreamy... entrancing like the flames in your poem I love how the light and the sounds from the fire heighten the feelings in the poem Great job... Hugs, Lee
