Beneath The Moon

Poem By Bill Simmons

In the light of the night
The stars out tonight set the mood
I can see her as she stands before me
Beneath the moon
As I embrace her and I hold her tight
I can feel her breath upon me
So is the chance we take of romance
For tonight will come love soon

As I kiss her lips like strawberry wine
The fragrance of her hair
Burns in my mind
And I can feel her heart beating
And I find
The earth has fallen away
And so has time

As we embrace
And I'm holding her near
Her beauty overtakes me
As she lets down her hair
I'm overwhelmed
Of all that I see
As her clothes fall away
As though never were there

And so is the art
As we open our hearts
As we love
Throughout the night
I wonder if she knows
Just how much
My love it grows
And how much
I do love her tonight.
