Beneath The Surface

I'm so distracted and don't know what to do
My friends have no idea what I'm going through
I know they just preach and pretend
But the truth is, they can't understand

All these walls that we keep building…
All these memories which keep fading…

It's time to admit we've grown bitter-
Friendships turn into something else
They hear my roars as whispers-
So I'm just talking to myself

I wish there was a lonely place
Where I can run away from my mistakes
‘Cause I can no longer carry their weight
This burden is so much more than I can take

All these walls that we keep building…
All these memories which keep fading…

It's time to admit we've grown bitter-
Friendships turn into something else
They hear my roars as whispers-
So I'm just talking to myself
