Better In The Morning Light
I grow tired of the ceaseless night
That has surrounded my body and mind
And so I wake myself up as I find
That all is better in the morning light.
I just can’t forever fight
That shadow that lurks inside my pain
Left with no life to gain
Though all is better in the morning light.
So I wake myself up from this spite,
This fitful shadow that tries to bring my demise
I walk to the mirror and gaze into my own eyes
With the promise that all is better in the morning light
And like the promise, the sun rises after night
Melting away depression’s mist
And I get to see all the joy I’ve missed
Because all is better in the morning light.
