Big Brother '88

I saw you standing before the mirror wearing your cap and gown;
You were practicing different smiles and such while no one was around.
It's so hard to believe you're a senior now; time has really flown:
Soon you'll be leaving for college and I'll be on my own.
No more long talks in the middle of the night about something that was wrong.
And no more rushing into your room to hear another new song.
I still remember the times when we were kids and all the fights we used to have:
Back then it seemed so serious, and now about them we just laugh.
Stand tall and accept your diploma that you've worked for all these years:
Just don't be surprised if you look in my eyes and see them swelled with tears.
