Birthplace

Poem By Raghurama Raju

What is there,
In that remote village?
Where buses and trains
Never run in your life!

What is there,
In that tiny place?
Where parks and beaches
You can never hope to see!

What is there,
In that ugly place?
Where you can only see
Slime, rocks and thorns!

Still, it is
A paradise to my eyes!
Because, it is where-
I was luckily born!

Comments about Birthplace

beautiful poem penned about birth place a nostalgic writings
The rustic atmosphere and simplicity of life in a village enthralls old-timers who have seen urban living from close quarters. This is an amazing piece of poetry based on nostalgia. Thanks, Dear Friend.
Besides being your birthplace, the pristine ecosystem with its tranquillity I believe is the source of your nostalgic feelings. Lovely poem written from the heart. Thanks for sharing and do remain blessed.

We, Men!

We are men.
We don't know how and what women look for in men!
But we know much about ourselves.
We look at women as lumps of flesh
