Black Eyes

Your black eyes speak death for me.
Each white tooth
That once chewed
The food that I
Had prepared-
Spaghetti, bacon,
And beans
Just so, just now
Want to tear a furrow
Into the hollow of my neck like
A werewolf on
A cold winter's night.
I see the blood
Already clotting
Into maroon jellied
Masses on your pure white hands.
I did nothing but
Love you and
Ask that you be the
Man that you
Conceived, one
Gray night back
While laying on
A jail cell cot.
