Bluebells On Your Mind

Do you find
Bluebells on your mind
And Forget-me-nots
And Buttercups
With Honeysuckles
Entwined?

Do you see
Dandelions on a fresh mown lawn
With Daisies
And Snowdrops
And a Daffodil
Forlorn?

Do you remember
Poppies in golden Hay
With Thistledown,
Red Campion
In Hedgerows
Everyday?

They say the past is a foreign place
Where everything just dies,
But I see all these things and know
That flowers don't tell lies,

So when I look upon a Rose
I see
All the things
You mean to me
And thee.
