Brick By Brick

When I stood outside
The downtown Tower
I thought of how it went
Brick by brick,
Growing in certain increments,
About how long it took for the high steel men
To give it a base
And bones
And flesh.

And then I saw in my mind how
Someday
It will all crumble and blow away
For all living things like us must pass.

For all living things like us must pass. ^^ That is the focal point of the poem. Good work here! Well crafted! Preets
