Broken Vowels

How can I begin to walk alone again,
How can I begin to face the truth ahead,
How can I begin to sing a happy song,
Do I belong , Do I belong.

Loveless in my home, sadness in my eyes
Helpless to myself, no more yours and mine,
Distant in time, unfocused on my life,
Do I belong, do I belong.

How can I begin to look for love again,
How can I begin to think of happiness
How can I begin to hold my head high,
Do I belong, Do I belong.

Tears I must wipe dry, all this sooner I shall hide
Then I can begin, to fight this war inside
Endlessly I'll fight, a comfort I must find
Do I belong, I do belong.
