Buried Children

Stealthily and Imperceptibly,
I begot with someone a baby,
A fruit of desire or fun.
With my heart pierced,
I stifled in the cradle
The sanguine little thing,
For I knew it would soon
May or may not die.
After burying the corpse,
I mourned for all my babies
In the Cemetery of Love.
